By Road to Staithes
Teesside (NORTH): Take the A67 through Eaglescliffe and
Yarm, on leaving Yarm go left on to the A1045 and follow
the signs to Marton and then to the A174. On the A174 follow
the signs for Saltburn, then Brotton and Loftus remain on
this road until you arrive at Staithes.
Scarborough (SOUTH): Take the A165 coast road
through Scalby to Burniston then take the A171 to Whitby.
From Whitby take the A174 to Staithes.
York (WEST): Take the A64 to the A169 through Pickering
to the A171. Turn left onto the A171 until you see a sign
for the B1266 signposted Sandsend, this will take you to
the A174. Turn left on to the A174 to Staithes.
To the
Staithes Gateway Centre
As you approach Staithes you will see
a picture sign with Captain Cook pointing to turn to the
bottom of the village, take this turn and follow the road
straight-on until you reach a mini round-a-bout. At the
round-a-bout you will see the Captain Cook Inn public house
up on your right. Take the second exit off the round-a-bout
after approximately 50 metres you will see the Staithes
Gateway Centre straight ahead of you. Drive round the back
of the Centre to the signed (free) car park.
